FISHIN’ REPORT WEEK OF 03/30/2023
Weather is supposed to be windy this weekend but not too bad.. hopefully…
Everything remains the same. Water temperature remains lower 5O ‘s in the morning.
Crappies good at the marina with small minnows and crappie jigs fishing down to 25 ft. to 35 ft. down.
White Bass being caught in the channel trolling swimbaits and crank baits.
Night fishing for Whites and Crappie is starting to pick up.. kinda hit & miss right now..
Catfish are still biting good around the Damsite with live bait (shiners & Bluegill) just off the bottom..
I have heard some good rumblings about the Walleye this week.. but nothing real consistent yet.. bouncing chartreuse and/or white Walley Divers off the bottom in 10′ or less of water.
trolling the long gravel banks on both sides of the lake from mid lake to up north..
The Bass tournaments this last weekend were tough.. not many fish caught.. most anglers were skunked..
The previous week Jorge Norzagaray caught an 8lb bass to win the tournament with one fish…
Thanks to Frank Vilorio (local guide) for our fishin’ report…
